How to Play Ultimate Frisbee
An Ultimate point starts with a pull. The offence advances by passing because the player holding the disc cannot run. A goal is scored by catching inside the opposing end zone. A dropped, intercepted or out-of-bounds pass changes possession, and players resolve calls themselves.

One point, step by step
Both teams line up in their respective end zones. The defence throws the pull to the offence. Once the offence collects the disc, it advances by passing in any direction. A receiver may slow down and establish a pivot, but cannot keep running with the disc.
The point ends when a valid pass is caught inside the attacking end zone. After the goal, teams change direction and the scoring team throws the next pull.
When possession changes
The defence becomes the offence when the disc hits the ground, goes out of bounds, is intercepted or the thrower runs out of time. The change is immediate; there is no referee signal to wait for. Reacting after a turnover is therefore as important as throwing and catching.
No referee does not mean no rules
Ultimate is non-contact and self-officiated. The players involved communicate a foul or infraction and apply the relevant procedure. Spirit of the Game requires rule knowledge, fair-minded behaviour and clear communication.
